Teething symptoms
The teething age is very individual for every child, some babies are even born with one or two teeth, some do not start teething until they are one year old. But most common pattern is to start teething between 4-7 months, if you 2 month old baby shows teething symptoms, do not worry it is perfectly normal, there is no rules.
All children have their own personality as every human being. The teething symptoms may be different from baby to baby, but there are some common signs typical for average teething process.
If you will notice than your baby become more fussy than usual, more irritable, wake up crying at night more often then probably the teething process is begun. Sometimes you may see a lump on baby's gum, but not always, the gums may not change until first tooth will appear. Next symptom of teething is desire to chew on anything they can bring into mouth: fingers, toys, clothes...You baby may try to bite you, it is not an act of aggression, just natural instinct to easy teething pain. Excessive drooling and dribbling is natural reaction to sore gums, as result you may have irritated red chin, try to minimise contact with saliva by gently wiping. The teething may impact on baby's ears, nose, and cheeks as pats of whole system. The baby may have runny nose, but make sure that it is not cold symptom. Rubbing the cheeks and pulling the ears is normal behavior during the teething process. But again make sure that it is not an ear infection. The slight rise of body temperature may occur, but if your baby have a fever is probably not because of teething and you must see your doctor.
There are some different opinions about diarrhea during the teething. Some sources say that it may be caused by extra saliva swallowed, but some state that it is not related to the teething and you must consult a specialist. I think you must consult your doctor about diarrhea, because it may be more serious problem than teething.
In conclusion , the teething is a natural process that may cause some discomfort for you baby, but should not make you baby ill. If you see that your baby is suffering too much, please seek a professional medical advise.

Why Amber Teething Necklaces?
We are involved in amber jewellery business more than 20 years. To be honest I never paid to much attention to amber teething necklaces. I just used to keep them in stock because all my competitors did. I held a stall with amber jewellery and some times used to participate in various craft fairs and trade shows. In 1996 it was Christmas Market in Berlin, Germany. I had booked a stall there. I brought to that event a lot of amber jewellery. There was a huge selection of amber silver jewellery, amber necklaces and bracelets for ladies, amber accessories and souvenirs, even amber encrusted smoking pipe........but no amber teething necklaces. In the middle of the event a humble young couple with a 1 year old boy came to my stall. "Do you have a short amber necklace for this young man?"- they asked. I didn't. They looked very sad, and I realised that they really need it. I realised that that it is not very easy to find an amber teething necklace in Germany. I tried to shorten a ladies necklace, but it wasn't successful because the teething necklace must be knotted. It was a big shame for me that I, an amber craftsman from an amber country wasn't able to help a little boy suffering teething problems. Since that time I always have amber teething necklaces in stock, as much as possible and best quality I can.
Now I live in UK, I still have my amber business but my stall has moved online. You can visit the amber jewellery website www.amberway.co.uk , for those who do not need the amber jewellery but are looking for the amber teething necklace i created separate website www.babyteethingnecklace.co.uk
